0Here are the top 10 things parents need to know to keep our schools COVID-safe. Safety is our top priority when schools start Aug. 2, Aug. 9 and Aug. 16. Check your school’s start date at: www.dallasisd.org/schoolcalendars. Masks are optional; however, we recommend face coverings for all. PPE, including masks and hand sanitizer, will be available at every campus. We will maintain 3 feet of social distancing (6 feet where appropriate). 2021 Mayor’s Back to School Fair to happen Aug. 6
0Mayor Eric Johnson announced that the 25th annual Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair will take place Aug. 6, 2021. Similar to last year’s event, this year’s Back to School Fair will be much more condensed than in the past and there will be two options to pick up school supplies. Drive-Thru Only Fair Friday, August 6, 2021 | 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Upon arrival at the drive-thru fair, families must remain in their vehicles and volunteers will load the school supplies in the trunk or bed of the vehicle. Dallas ISD’s curbside meal service to end on July 21
0Dallas Independent School District will discontinue offering free curbside meals to children. The last day for curbside meals at participating school sites is Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Dallas ISD’s Food and Child Nutrition Services is proud to continue to provide no-cost meals to Dallas ISD students via the traditional meal service during the 2021-2022 school year.
