Justin Henry reelected to the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees
0Voters have reelected Justin Henry to continue serving on the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees. Unofficial results from the May 1 election show Henry received 75.96 percent of the vote and Ulana Sigler received 24.04 percent of the vote in the race for District 9, which serves South Dallas and parts of Downtown Dallas, Pleasant Grove, Deep Ellum, Uptown and East Dallas. Henry, who was originally elected as a trustee in June 2018, currently serves as the board president.

Families will receive assistance with online enrollment while enjoying music, fun and a snack. Covid-19 social distancing and mask protocols will be followed. Middle school entrepreneur starts her own custom-made clothing business
0Sixth-grade student Kayla Clemmons already knows what it’s like to run a business. She studies at Young Women’s STEAM Academy at Balch Springs Middle School (YWSA), plays softball for the Lady Jags and manages her own design company during her free time. “I see my classmates buying $45 shirts, and I tell them: ‘you can come to me and I’ll make it for $20, and I can make it better!’” Clemmons said.
