Dallas ISD launches high quality student passport experiences program with new field trip opportunities
0More than 48,000 students in select grade levels will soon take part in a new high-quality learning experiences program that aligns with the high-quality instructional materials being used across classrooms, and these experiences will take them across Dallas ISD. Thanks to a partnership with Lyda Hill Philanthropies and Dallas ISD Academic Services, K-8 students will visit the Dallas Zoo, Perot Museum, Dallas Arboretum, and Environmental Education Center. 0Dallas ISD is closely monitoring winter weather conditions anticipated later this week and early next week. UPDATE: Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026 | 3 p.m. Dallas ISD will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026. All athletic events and practices (indoor and outdoor) are postponed. While highways are improving, many neighborhood streets, sidewalks, and school parking lots remain icy and difficult to navigate, with refreezing expected overnight. Jesus Moroles chosen as pilot school for art honor society
0Surrounded by their peers, Evelyn W. and Anya H. made Dallas ISD history as they were inducted into Jesus Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard’s newly established art honor society. The induction ceremony marked the launch of the National Elementary Art Honor Society pilot, making it the first school in the district to participate in the program. The society, which includes 16 members, is built on three pillars: art scholarship, character, and service. Recently, several students auditioned for and received callbacks from schools like Southern Methodist University, University of Texas at Arlington, New York Film Academy, and more. “Representing W.T.
