Principal for a Day celebrates 25 years of connecting Dallas ISD schools and community leaders
0For 25 years, Dallas ISD’s Principal for a Day program has brought classrooms and boardrooms together, giving students a glimpse into real-world careers and showing community leaders the incredible work happening inside the classrooms. Almost 200 civic, business, and nonprofit leaders stepped into the role of principal at campuses across the district, shadowing school leaders, meeting students, and gaining a firsthand look at the heart of public education. Frank Guzick Elementary earns International Baccalaureate authorization
0Third grader Jose B. is building his legacy at Frank Guzick Elementary School. “I love learning about each thing in class with so much detail,” said Jose. His days this school year look a little different. The pre-K through fifth-grade campus is officially a Primary Years IB Program. According to Principal Andreana Davis, this milestone comes after a three-year candidacy process, a one-year authorization application, and a visit period.
