November is Homeless Youth Awareness Month and Dallas ISD Homeless Education Program (HEP) is here to help students and parents experiencing homelessness by providing resources and training. As an 8-year-old, John Paul Gonzalez often felt dumb and he would pray for help to be able to read. He used to place a book under his pillow to give God a hint that he needed help to make sense of the letters in the book. His prayers were answered the next year when his new third-grade teacher told his mother that she thought he might be dyslexic. In a move to add an extra level of protection from COVID-19 for students and staff during the pandemic, Dallas ISD has joined a rapid testing antigen pilot program offered to districts by TEA and the Texas Division of Emergency Management. The BinaxNOW Rapid Testing Pilot Program is providing the district with fast-acting test kits that allow individuals to take their own nasal samples that can show results in 15 minutes when mixed with a chemical reagent. El amor de Adrián García por los aviones despegó cuando era estudiante en Skyline High School, donde estudió la especialización de aviación. Tras graduarse de la preparatoria, asistió a la universidad donde obtuvo su licenciatura en gestión de la aviación y una licencia de piloto, luego de acumular más de 100 horas de vuelo.
