Two Dallas ISD schools are among 26 public schools in Texas nominated for the National Blue Ribbon, to be awarded in the fall. The School for the Talented and Gifted and the School of Science and Engineering, both at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center, are nominated for the ribbon, the highest honor an American school can achieve. At the end of January, 20 schools competed in the Region XII Academic Decathlon. Of those participating campuses, School of Science and Engineering and School for the Talented & Gifted received the highest team points in their respective divisions: medium and small. A partir del año escolar 2022-2023, los estudiantes de las escuelas de la zona del Instituto de Profesiones Sur podrán inscribirse en cuatro cursos virtuales nuevos, Estadísticas AP, Historia Mundial AP, Alemán e Italiano.  Los estudiantes que cursen estas clases lo harán en su propia escuela pero trabajarán de manera virtual con estudiantes de otras escuelas del distrito.
