Marketing Services is responsible for communicating internally to more than 20,000 Dallas ISD employees and externally with the greater Dallas community through publications, marketing and advertising, e-newsletters, social media and photography.

On Thursday, Oct. 29, Dallas ISD students participated in a hands-on interactive competition designed to introduce high school age girls to the many career opportunities available to them in the commercial real estate industry. The program, known as CREW Careers Building Opportunities, was sponsored by Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) in Dallas. This is their 10th year of sponsoring the program. Visit the website to meet the newly appointed athletics administrative staff, watch video messages from Athletic Director Gil Garza and access news stories, schedules and scores. Construction is beginning at the first of 47 schools set to receive $143.3 million in science lab expansions and heating system improvements funded by the district’s sale of Qualified School Construction Bonds. The $26.2 million in science lab upgrades will benefit 26 of 37 district middle schools, bringing them into compliance with TEA science instruction requirements, and enabling more students to engage in hands-on science experiments and lab projects. Recent Advanced Placement (AP) exam results indicate Dallas ISD is outperforming other large urban districts according the National Math and Science Initiative. A minority student in Dallas ISD is more than twice as likely to earn a qualifying score of three or higher on an AP exam as in any other large urban school district in the country. AP exams are an end of year assessment in core areas that allow students to earn college credit and passing the exams is an indicator of college readiness. Skyline High School football’s hard work and successes have thrust the team into national spotlight with an 18th best composite ranking among high school football teams in the country this season. The composite ranking is an average of the team’s rating across various outlets including Max Preps and USA Today.
