Tina Compton’s path to school counseling began in her classroom, where she realized many of her students’ struggles weren’t academic, they were emotional. “I saw students struggling because of issues outside the classroom, such as low self-esteem, anxiety, food insecurity, or family instability,” Compton said. “I was spending so much time managing behaviors rather than addressing the root cause.” That realization changed the trajectory of her 30-year career in education. Dallas ISD será incorporado en la Caudill Class 2025–2026, un honor superior otorgado por el programa Exhibit of School Architecture, con motivo del Instituto de Profesiones del Norte y Geneva Heights Elementary School, las cuales fueron posibles gracias al programa de bonos de 2020. El Instituto de Profesiones del Norte, o CI North, originalmente construido como Walnut Hill Elementary School, sufrió daños graves por el tornado de 2019.
