Dallas ISD recently hosted its third annual Financial Literacy Day at Zan Wesley Holmes Jr. Middle School.

This high-impact, co-curricular event empowered over 230 students from 18 high schools to transform abstract financial concepts into tangible life skills.
The success of the day was made possible through the invaluable contributions of community partners like Next Generation Action Network, Wells Fargo, Comerica Bank, the 3 to 1 Foundation, and the Academic Success Program.
Called The Ultimate Glow Up: A Teen’s Financial Playbook, the day featured hands-on workshops and competitive learning, including:

- Interactive breakout sessions: Small-group workshops where students practiced managing real-life money scenarios and other skills.
- The financial game show: A series of competitive rounds where student teams integrated prior background knowledge with newly acquired financial strategies.
- Scenario discussions: Guided conversations applying financial logic to everyday dilemmas.
Dallas ISD is committed to providing students with the tools necessary for long-term success. By bridging the gap between principles of government and financial realities, we are shaping a generation ready to navigate the modern economy with confidence.
