Have fun this summer with these free activities and programs

Summer is just one month away! While regular school will not be in session, there are many free opportunities where children can learn a new skill, improve their reading or explore the arts.

Dallas ISD has teamed with the City of Dallas under the umbrella Dallas City of Learning to bring Dallas families dozens of free and fun summer activities for children of all ages. The partnership is managed by the nonprofit organization Big Thought.

Click here to see an online copy of the Discover Summer Learning Guide where parents can learn about the free summer activities and programs happening in their own backyard.

Whether a child is interested in robotics, dance, sports, space, or literature, there is an activity in the Discover Summer Learning Guide that will keep them learning all summer long.

Also, look for a print copy of the Discover Summer Learning Guide in this upcoming weekend’s edition of Dallas Morning News and Al Dia.
