Spurred by a strong response from the community, the Dallas Independent School District will extend the deadline for its Public School Choice Community Survey through midnight Wednesday, Nov. 12.
More than 3,000 responses have been received in the last month about potential choice schools and programs through a survey offered by the Dallas Independent School District. Meanwhile, the district is gearing up for its next big push toward opening 35 additional public choice schools and programs by 2020.
Since Sept. 24, there have been more than 2,400 responses in English, and another 800 in Spanish to Dallas ISD’s first-ever Public School Choice Community Survey. Feedback gained from this survey will be used to help shape and guide decisions on what kinds of new schools will be added, or existing schools converted, to provide more educational options and opportunities for students.
