Volunteers from Texas Trees Foundation and Southwest Airlines helped plant trees and read to students Tuesday. The purpose of the event was to highlight the importance of creating healthy communities through tree planting education and advocacy. Would you like to help make an IMPACT on Dallas ISD students? It’s not often that we share Letters to the Editor written to the Dallas Morning News. However,  two letters were penned by a couple of community members who both shared sentiments of the “good things” going on at Bryan Adams High School. As a district we, too, are “proud” when members outside of our staff recognize the high standards of practice we strive to uphold. We are a district with nearly 161,000 students who attend 224 schools within Dallas ISD every day. Members of the Edward H. Cary Middle School Leadership Cadet Corps playing a leading role in the celebration of Veterans Day. The Cary Colt Cadets served as the color guard for a celebration led by Congressman Al Green (D-Houston) before performing at the Daughters of World War II luncheon.
