Hundreds of Dallas ISD students helped honor veterans on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in the 2014 Dallas Veterans Day Parade. The annual parade honors the men and women who have served in the U.S. military, and this year’s specifically highlighted the sacrifices of wounded veterans. See a complete photo gallery here.

Skyline High School teacher Margie Robinson will receive Humanities Texas’ 2014 Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities Award at a ceremony at 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 13, in the school auditorium at 7777 Forney Road. District 23 state Sen. Royce West and Dallas ISD District 9 Trustee Bernadette Nutall will join Humanities Texas’ representatives at the ceremony honoring Robinson who teaches Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition.
