By next fall, the culinary arts classroom at Lincoln High School will be transformed to include a professional kitchen, classroom/restaurant, private dining room and more as part of a $2.25 million, 5,400-square-foot renovation and expansion of the learning environment. The Entrepreneurial Culinary Arts Program will offer training that will prepare students for employment in the food services industry or serve as a springboard for college studies in that career path. Most Dallas ISD high school seniors have grown up attending elementary, middle and high schools within the district. And those seniors are now crossing the graduation stage and receiving their high school diploma. But before starting college or entering the workforce, some seniors share what Dallas ISD means to them and the impacts it’s made on their future. Today, Deisy Figueroa at L.G. Pinkston High School shares what Dallas ISD means to her.

As the school year and the rigor of daily classes wane, Dallas ISD is gearing up to keep students learning with a touch of fun. Families have many programs from which to choose to engage students in summer learning.
