Nancy Bingham and Eric Cowan, outgoing members of the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees, were honored for their service on the day of their last board meeting, Thursday, May 26. A reception before the meeting included words of thanks from fellow trustees Edwin Flores, Dan Micciche and Edwin Flores, Superintendent Michael Hinojosa and Board Services Director Deno Harris. Bingham represented District 4, which includes Southeast Dallas and part of Pleasant Grove, Balch Springs and Seagoville. Dallas ISD is seeking great employees to fill custodial and cafeteria staff jobs for the 2016-2017 school year. A Job Fair will be conducted 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Emmett J. Conrad High School to interview applicants. Those interested must bring a copy of their resumes and job history, as well as a state-issued photo ID. Jobs will be offered on the spot at the fair. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts held a book dedication ceremony on Thursday in honor of the nearly 3,000 books donated by KPMG LLP accounting firm for their library. KPMG LLC provides audit, tax and advisory services. KPMG LLP employs more than 29,000 people across the country and approximately 1,700 people in Dallas.
