Students have until Sunday, March 12, to apply for a Stars on the Rise scholarship, which is provided by the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. For 34 years, Stars on the Rise has given millions of dollars to talented students who can’t afford college. Stars on the Rise scholarships are open to all high school seniors regardless of ethnicity or immigration status. The African American Success Initiative has partnered with local Dallas county judges who created a program called Pipeline to Possibilities. The goal is to educate students on various aspects of the justice system. The Trinity Chapter of The Links, Inc. is proud to announce the celebration of its 10th Anniversary of its signature “Diamonds and Sneakers” Gala. The Gala will be held March 4 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel at 6 p.m. The evening of diamonds and sneakers will include dinner and dancing with the popular David White Band. The gala supports an enrichment program developed by the Trinity Links in 2000 for Dallas Independent School District elementary and middle school girls called SoSMAART.
