For the second year in a row, the largest distributor of school supplies in Texas, TEXAS YES, hosted a school supply distribution event at several Dallas ISD campuses. This year, in partnership with prominent injury attorney and philanthropist Thomas J. During its Aug. 10 board briefing, the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees discussed amending the existing Student Code of Conduct to align with the recently passed Texas House Bill 114 (HB114). Currently, the possession, use, or delivery of an electronic cigarette, commonly referred to as a vape, is considered a Level II Offense in the Student Code of Conduct. If approved by the board, the possession, use, or delivery of an electronic cigarette would be upgraded to a Level III Mandatory Offense. While many seniors decide to soak in every moment of their summer by going on vacation or hanging out with friends, Steven S. decided to spend the summer before his senior year  making progress toward his career through an internship with the City of Dallas.  Steven participates in the Career and Technical Education program at Career Institute South, where he’s following the Electrical Construction career path.
