A survey of about 60,000 Dallas ISD students in grades 3–12 shows promising results that the district’s comprehensive efforts to focus on social and emotional learning is paying off. In three out of four categories, district students report having a more positive view than the average national student in areas such as social awareness and supportive relationships. The Dallas Education Foundation received a $50,000 donation from Texas Rangers Hall of Famer Michael Young to restore the Reverchon Park Ball Field which will serve as the home field for the North Dallas High School Bulldogs baseball team. Many Dallas residents know Mr. Young as an immensely talented baseball player whose #10 jersey was retired by the Rangers in 2019. Atmos Energy and the Dallas Education Foundation have partnered to recognize the tireless efforts of the Dallas ISD Maintenance and Facilities essential team members for their work during the recent winter storms. The Dallas ISD STEM Health and Physical Education Department has officially launched the “Dallas ISD On the MOVE!” Physical Activity and Fitness Calendar Website.  This website was created to help promote the physical activity and fitness levels of all Dallas ISD students whether they are receiving face-to-face or remote learning opportunities.
