Summer meals available for all children 18 years or younger
0Dallas ISD Food and Child Nutrition Services Department has officially kicked off its summer meals program. The summer meal program provides healthy, no-cost summer meals for children 18 and younger and enrolled students up to 21 years old with disabilities. The Summer Food Service Program is a U.S. Department of Agriculture nutrition program administered in the Lone Star State by the Texas Department of Agriculture. 0Over 60 different languages are spoken throughout Dallas ISD. Being bilingual is a distinct honor and a unique skill set that continues to be in high demand in the workforce. And Dallas ISD students continue to differentiate themselves from other students across the country by receiving state and global recognition for proficiency in a foreign language. A staging fit for a Lion King
0The Lion King, one of musical theater’s grandest and most complicated productions, is not something that you’d expect from elementary school students who are the designers, actors, and dancers. But Jesus Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard theater teacher, Jamie Nelson, and dance teacher, Brianna Miller, believed that this seemingly impossible task was possible. It was.
