0On March 27, the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees approved a plan that will invest approximately $129.5 million into addressing critical needs at district schools. A portion of the Bridge Plan, as it is called, will add more pre-K classrooms throughout the district. 0A recruitment fair Wednesday evening marked a significant step towards staffing the six schools identified in the Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) plan with highly effective teachers. The fair connected approximately 180 high-performing district teachers with principals at the six ACE schools. Parents discuss the benefits of their children attending pre-K (video)
0Parents of children who attend Harry Withers Elementary were eager to share the benefits of their children attending pre-kindergarten. Hillary Verver, one such parent, said pre-K has introduced her child to what school is and has allowed her to socialize with other children. Meanwhile, Valina Hill, another parent, said pre-K has helped her child connect better with her siblings and develop a passion for learning a language. District teachers to weigh in on ACE plan, spot observations
0A group of nearly 500 Dallas ISD teachers will gather tonight to review and weigh in on several district initiatives, including the Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) plan that the district launched last week. The teachers known as Teacher Excellence Initiative (TEI) campus experts will weigh in on retention bonuses and stipends offered to DTR-eligible teachers who serve on the six ACE campuses.
