Schools that offer a Two-Way Dual-Language Program were on hand to answer any questions and provide information. School representatives explained how the program creates global citizens every day by providing students with the opportunity to learn two languages. Community College Board elated by Dallas ISD collegiate academy plan
0“Game changer” were the words of the day during a discussion with the Dallas County Community College District Board of Trustees about Dallas ISD’s plan to open eight new district collegiate academies next fall. Dallas ISD Superintendent Michael Hinojosa and Deputy Chief Israel Cordero briefed the DCCCD trustees on April 5 about the collegiate academies that will allow high school students to earn up to 60 hours of college credit and an Associate Degree in Applied Science at no cost to them. More than 6,600 children registered in Dallas ISD pre-K last week
0More than 6,600 parents registered their children for pre-K in Dallas ISD last week as part of Pre-K Registration Week. Kristine Delgado, Dallas ISD Early Childhood Manager, said it was a great first week to kick off the pre-K registration enrollment period. She emphasized that pre-K registration is ongoing, and that parents can still visit their local elementary school to sign their child up for pre-K. “We are off to a great start, and we look forward to continuing registering children for pre-K to set them up for the brightest possible future,” Delgado said.
