Districtwide College Fair set for Sept. 20
0Dallas ISD invites all junior and senior students to begin preparing to take the next step toward their future, by attending the 2017 Districtwide College Fair. The fair will take place Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Ellis Davis Field House, 9191 S. Polk St., Dallas, TX 75232. Representatives from colleges and universities throughout the country, will be available to share information about their school’s programs. District accepts student nominations for Gifted and Talented Program
0Dallas ISD is accepting nominations for students to be screened for the Gifted and Talented Program through Sept. 15. Parents, guardians and community members may nominate students for consideration. A student can also nominate themselves. Information packets are available at the local campus from the Gifted and Talented Program teacher, or AP/GT Manager. Students must be enrolled in Dallas ISD to be tested. Dallas ISD accepts items for students displaced by Hurricane Harvey
0As Dallas ISD continues to lend a helping hand to families displaced by Hurricane Harvey who are now arriving in the City of Dallas, the district is collecting donations of uniforms, school supplies and backpacks for students expected to enroll in district schools. Donations may be dropped off at Dallas ISD’s Education Center, 9400 N. Central Expressway, Dallas, TX 75231, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. today through Friday, Sept. 8 (with the exception of Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 4).
