To provide a safe, warm shelter to families, Dallas ISD is opening warming centers at Emmett J. Conrad, 7502 Fair Oaks Ave., and W.W. Samuell, 8928 Palisade Drive, high schools and Lorenzo De Zavala Elementary School, 3214 N Winnetka Ave., from noon to 5 p.m. You are asked to bring your own food. Due to widespread power outages throughout the area, Dallas ISD schools and offices will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 16 and Wednesday, Feb. 17, and will not be required to make up these days.
