District launches Operation Comeback to re-engage absent students
0School absences have risen dramatically as parents and students cope with the Covid-19 pandemic, and Dallas ISD is launching an all-out effort to help students get back in school and engaged. Beginning Monday, February 1, and continuing through February 27, district teams will be reaching out to students and parents by phone, text and email as a part of “Operation Comeback Student Re-Engagement,” an effort to help students get back on track to continue their education. Press conference announces partnership with Paul Quinn College to launch new secondary IB school
0A press conference on Wednesday morning formally announced that Dallas ISD is partnering with Paul Quinn College, an HBCU, to open a school that will operate under the International Baccalaureate model (IB) in southern Dallas. The press conference announced that the new school, which is enrolling students right now for next school year, will be named, pending board approval, after Frederick D. 0The largest STEM EXPO in Texas went virtual last weekend when Dallas ISD hosted their annual STEM Expo on Saturday, Jan. 23.
