Dallas ISD to host Back-To-School Enrollment Fair on August 7
0We’re ready to welcome you back to school. Parents of students in all grades – pre-K through 12th – can receive help to complete their child’s enrollment for the new school year. Attend the We’re Ready Back to School Enrollment Fair Saturday, Aug 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center, located at 1201 E. Eighth Street. You can complete your child’s registration drive-thru style from the comfort of your own vehicle or receive in-person assistance at walk-up stations. Dallas ISD is taking a future-focused comprehensive approach to ensure students have the foundational skills they need. L. O. Donald educator who was on the frontlines of desegregation retires after 51 years of service
0Mary Crossland was among the first group of Black educators on the frontlines of desegregation, who joined the faculty of predominantly White schools in the early ’70s. Her co-workers celebrated her 51 years of service to Dallas ISD students and her commitment to L.O. The district will open its doors to some schools on Monday, August 2, and others on Monday, August 9 and 16. The district’s three different calendars for the new year can be found here.
