Reliant y los Dallas Cowboys reconocen a maestros en toda el área de Dallas-Fort Worth que animan, lideran y buscan la excelencia siempre en el salón de clases a través de Cowboys Class Acts, patrocinado por Reliant. A pesar de que el clima invernal canceló las clases el 1 de febrero, la celebración continuó para los alumnos deportistas de Dallas ISD. Más de 80 estudiantes firmaron cartas nacionales de intención para continuar sus carreras deportivas en la universidad. Durante el año escolar 2023-24, 86 estudiantes deportistas de Dallas ISD jugarán baloncesto, béisbol, fútbol americano, fútbol, softbol, natación, atletismo o voleibol a nivel universitario. Despite winter weather canceling classes on Feb. 1, the celebration continued for Dallas ISD student-athletes. More than 80 student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers in college.  During the 2023-24 school year, 86 Dallas ISD student-athletes will play basketball, baseball, football, soccer, softball, swimming, track and field, or volleyball at the collegiate level. Reliant and the Dallas Cowboys honor teachers throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area who constantly encourage, lead and strive for excellence in the classroom through Cowboys Class Acts, powered by Reliant. It was just another day at Kleberg Elementary School—a student headed to the office to be picked up because she was not feeling well. The day took a turn to the unusual when Loren Carcamo arrived to pick up her daughter and her water broke. Words can have a lasting effect on people, something that Wilmer Hutchins Elementary School physical education teacher Earnest Sims learned in 1983 as he was preparing to graduate from his high school in Arkansas. “I remember it like it was yesterday,” Sims said. “I went into the counselor’s office, and the counselor told me, ‘You’re not smart enough to be successful in college.’ That stayed with me. If you’ve ever been to a Dallas ISD community event at a school or throughout the city, chances are you’ve seen Sgt. Simon Tapia, one of the faces of the Dallas ISD Police Department’s UNIDOS program. He, along with fellow officer Lt.
