The Dallas ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution during the Sept. 28 board meeting highlighting the pressing need for the Texas Legislature to prioritize increased funding for public schools. Dallas ISD’s Regional Day School Program for the Deaf is built on a foundation of connections and opportunities. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Oncor Kids Race, BMW Dallas Marathon Festival and Dallas ISD are teaming up with local online shoe retailer Shoebacca to donate new athletic shoes to students, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Charles Rice Learning Center. The Oncor Kids Race, held at Dallas City Plaza in December, attracts 6,000 students each year.
