Students enrolling in the Dallas Independent School District for the first time must provide evidence of required immunizations. Official records from a physician or health clinic, which provide documentation of current immunizations, are required. All immunizations should be completed by the first date of attendance. The law requires that students be fully vaccinated against the specified diseases. Students who are uninsured or underinsured can get free immunizations the times and dates below. A group of new Dallas ISD initiatives aim to accelerate innovation–and boost student performance–in neighborhood schools. The Public School Choice is a competitive proposal process where educators create high-quality, best-fit options for Dallas ISD students to realize their full academic potential.
