This initiative is under the Child and Adult Food Care Program, which provides reimbursements for meals and snacks served to students, ages 18 and under, participating in after-school programs. Born and raised in Dallas, she attended various Dallas ISD legacy schools, including Maple Lawn Elementary School and Thomas Jefferson High School, where she was active in extracurricular activities such as the Liberty Belles and martial arts. In March 2024, Dallas ISD Food and Child Nutrition Services partnered with Cool Tropics to host a district-wide nutrition art contest for Dallas ISD students.
