Marketing Services is responsible for communicating internally to more than 20,000 Dallas ISD employees and externally with the greater Dallas community through publications, marketing and advertising, e-newsletters, social media and photography.

Students at Louise Wolff Khan Elementary School are ready to get racing. In an effort to increase awareness about physical fitness and active, healthy lifestyles for students and their families, 200 students were encouraged to participate in the 2014 Cigna Mayor’s Race 5K and Fun Run Presented by Oncor. Every year, Kroger, in conjunction with other community partners, donates thousands of dollars in school supplies to Dallas ISD schools; this summer was no exception. Forty-eight Dallas ISD schools started the school off right with free backpacks and school supplies worth $87,250, thanks to the efforts of KDFW FOX 4, Kroger, Coca-Cola and Clear Channel Radio. The organizations teamed up for the Stuff the School Bus collection drive, which kicked off July 30 and ended August 17.  Students enjoy their backpacks. Meloday Townsel, a teacher at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, needed a fresh new look for her new-to-her classroom. But because she had five different classroom in five years, and because of a limited budget, Townsel was out of ideas. Enter designer David Goltl. Together the pair, along with student helpers, created a space that was quirky and fun for the students’ creative juices to flow, but also organized and functional for Ms. Townsel to do her magic in teaching English and history.
