Hundreds of Dallas ISD students helped honor veterans on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in the 2014 Dallas Veterans Day Parade. Skyline High School teacher Margie Robinson will receive Humanities Texas’ 2014 Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities Award at a ceremony at 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 13, in the school auditorium at 7777 Forney Road. District 23 state Sen. After serving more than 20 years in the U.S. Navy, Chief Frederick Brown decided to give the corporate world a try. Did you know that there is a military museum on the campus of Thomas C. Marsh Preparatory Academy? Commonly known around Dallas ISD as The Marsh Military Museum, it has been open since May 8, 2012. The Leadership Cadet Corps cadets who are the curators and tour guides take great pride in the items that have been donated by the community.
