Dallas ISD is gearing up to celebrate National School Breakfast Week.

Happening from March 2-6, the week recognizes the importance of a healthy start to the day with breakfast to fuel children’s academic success.

The theme is The Quest for School Breakfast, and cafeterias across the district will bring the celebration to life with special menus, events, activities, and more, with the goal of encouraging students to eat a healthy breakfast at school.

Students are also invited to participate in The Quest for School Breakfast Art Contest. Students are encouraged to creatively illustrate the importance of a nutritious breakfast as part of their daily journey to success. The deadline to submit artwork is March 27.

Winning artwork will be displayed in school cafeterias and featured in the FCNS newsletter and at the Maria Luna Facility. This initiative engages students in understanding the value of healthy morning meals while celebrating their creativity and artistic talents.
