The Dallas Independent School District Districtwide Records Management Department hereby notifies the public of its intention to destroy inactive Special Education records of students who last received special education services in 2020. These Special Education student records are scheduled to be destroyed after March 13 of 2026, without further notice.
Special Education students and their respective parents or guardians wanting to obtain the aforementioned records before they are destroyed, should contact the Districtwide Records Management Department at (972) 925-7840. Requests to withhold records from destruction must be received no later than Monday, March 23, 2026. Parents, guardians, and students are reminded that these records may be needed for social security benefits or other purposes (34CFR 300.573 Code of Federal Regulations).
