The 2026 mock trial season wrapped up with outstanding performances from students across the district, culminating in a highly competitive series of courtroom battles. The final regional standings are as follows:

  • First  place: Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts
  • Second  place: Skyline High School
  • Third place: Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center
  • Fourth place: School of Talented and Gifted at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center

This year’s competition showcased exceptional advocacy skills, from dynamic opening statements to precise witness examinations. Students demonstrated professionalism, composure, and a deep understanding of legal principles as they competed before panels of volunteer attorneys and judges.

As the district’s top teams prepare to face the best high school litigators in Texas, the community celebrates their remarkable achievements and stands behind them as they move on to the state stage.

The top three teams will advance to the Texas High School Mock Trial State Competition, on March 6 and 7 at the George Allen Sr. Courts Building in downtown Dallas.
