For the third year in a row, Dallas ISD high schools earned the top three spots in Texas, according to the latest U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best High Schools rankings. Additionally, six schools ranked in the top 50 in Texas.
Among nearly 18,000 nationally-ranked schools and almost 2,000 high schools ranked in Texas, the School for the Talented and Gifted at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center was ranked No. 1 in Texas and ninth nationally.
“Being ranked the number 1 high school in Texas is a powerful reflection of the hard work, values, and commitment of our entire school community,” said Arnoldo Zuniga, TAG principal. “It means more than just a number; it represents a culture of excellence, growth, and shared purpose.”
According to the U.S. News & World Report study, students who attend the highest-ranked public schools demonstrated outstanding outcomes above expectations in math, reading, and science state assessments, earned qualifying scores on an array of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions.

No. 3: School of Science and Engineering at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center
No. 9: Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center
No. 13: School of Health Professions at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center
No. 23: Trinidad “Trini” Garza Early College High School at Mountain View
No. 37: Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts
No. 41: Rosie Sorrells Education and Social Services at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center
No. 46: Marvin E. Robinson School of Business and Management at Yvonne A. Ewell
Townview Center
No. 50: Dr. Wright L. Lassiter Jr. Early College High School
