Dallas ISD’s Food and Child Nutrition Services is continuing the At-Risk Afterschool Meals component of the Child and Adult Care Food Program for the 2025-2026 school year.
This means students who participate in after-school programs will receive free snacks or dinner.
“It is so important for us to support all of our students and do everything we can to ensure
that they receive good nutrition throughout the entire school day, not just breakfast and lunch,” said Debi Rowley, executive director of FCNS. “Our mission here at FCNS must extend to our students who are participating in after-school programs as well, so that they can get the energy they need to accomplish their goals.”
By participating in At-Risk Afterschool Meals, Dallas ISD continues its legacy of ensuring
that every student has access to the nutritious food they need to thrive, both in the classroom and beyond standards, and adapted to meet the needs of students and communities.
