Students enrolled in the P-TECH education pathway across Dallas ISD were recently awarded letters of intent in recognition of their commitment and dedication to pursuing careers in education.

This prestigious milestone marks a significant step in each student’s professional journey. The letter of intent guarantees future employment with Dallas ISD, offering a starting salary of at least $62,500 upon completion of both a bachelor’s degree and state teaching certification. Students are also eligible for critical shortage area incentives and a $5,000 SPED-self-contained incentive, along with benefits.

The P-TECH and Early College High School (ECHS) programs provide students with valuable opportunities to explore diverse career pathways, enroll in college-level coursework, and earn up to 60 tuition-free college credit hours while still in high school.

These programs are open to all incoming freshmen, offering the chance to graduate with a high school diploma and an associate degree, positioning students for success in their chosen fields.
