Dallas ISD students are invited to enter the 2025 Black History Month Art Contest, hosted by the Dallas Mavericks.
Now accepting submissions, the art contest is open to eighth through 12th grade students across north Texas. To enter, students must submit a visual medium representing Black history and growth of representation of Black culture in the arts through different eras of time.
Five winners will be chosen, and each will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. with a guardian to visit renowned African American museums.
Teachers of students who win the contest will receive free tickets to a Dallas Mavericks pre-season game.
Students can submit their artwork digitally until 11:59 p.m. Feb. 9. To learn more about contest guidelines and submission details, visit mavs.com/art.
