Election Day is almost here, and it is a good time to make sure all eligible voters are prepared to make their mark.

Early voting will run from Monday, Oct. 21 to Friday, Nov. 1. Registered and eligible voters may cast their ballot at any early voting location in their county of registration. To find a polling location, use the My Voter Portal, which will show locations two days prior to the first day of early voting.
On Election Day, Nov. 5, all Dallas ISD schools will be closed and voters can go to any location in their county of registration. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all polling locations. For questions, consult the County Elections Office.
Under Texas law, voters must present one of the following seven acceptable forms of identification at the polls when voting in person:
- Texas driver’s license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety
- Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
- Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
- Texas handgun license issued by DPS
- United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph
- United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph or
- Passport
