Booker T. Washington High School mock trial team ends school year strong

Booker T. Washington High School for Performing and Visual Arts’ Mock Trial team is continuing to make waves on the national scene.

Eryn Anum (Theatre, 2025), Audrey Buehler (Theatre, 2025), Molly Chakery (Theatre, 2024), Isabel Gameros (Theater, 2024), Maxine Louthan (Theatre 2025), Erin Mansour (Theatre 2025), Ellie Oddo (Visual, 2026), and Abigail Smith, (Theatre 2027), recently placed second out of 48 schools in the 2024 National High School Mock Trial Competition in Pennsylvania. 

The National High School Mock Trial Championship is the ultimate law-related education experience for the best and brightest high school students in the U.S. The program is dedicated to promoting an understanding and appreciation of the judicial system.

In order to qualify for the championship, Booker T. ‘s team competed in a state championship, sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association, where they distinguished themselves among 20 schools in Texas.
