Dallas ISD’s robotics teams achieved remarkable success at the VEX Robotics World Championship that took place in May. Students showcased their technical prowess and teamwork, leaving a lasting impression on the judges. The “LadyBots” from Casa View Elementary earned the Girl Powered and Build Awards. Alex Sanger Preparatory took home the Sportsmanship Award and Winnetka Elementary’s two teams won the Energy Award. In the middle school division, the School for the Talented and Gifted in Pleasant Grove was awarded the Energy Award as well.

Dallas ISD’s drone teams soared to victory at the recent Aerial Drone Championship this past April in Sugar Land, Texas. These young aviators demonstrated their exceptional piloting skills and creativity in designing autonomous programs for their drones. Teams from Dallas Environmental Science Academy won the Flight Operation Award and the Judges Award.

The success of Dallas ISD’s robotics and drone teams at the VEX Worlds and Aerial Drone Championship competitions highlights the district’s dedication to cultivating a passion for STEM among its students.
