Members of Dallas ISD’s Early Learning team and volunteers took to the streets on Thursday, March 30 to meet parents in person to share information about available Pre-K opportunities in their neighborhoods.
Teams went door-to-door in 30 different Dallas neighborhoods. They shared the importance of high-quality Pre-K and explained how a parent could register their future Dallas ISD student.
“Pressing the Pavement is a strategic recruitment strategy to support our families with Pre-K registration information in their community. The Early Learning teams knock door to door and visit local businesses to provide Pre-K registration information and be able to answer questions our families may have” said Yesenia Ramirez, Director of Early Learning.
Pre-K registration goes live on Saturday, April 1, for the 2023-2024 school year. The Early Learning team is sponsoring the third annual Pre-K Pop-up Registration events throughout the district to support our families and communities with registration.
