Hybrid Prep’s founding eighth-grade class commits to staying in Dallas ISD

Dallas Hybrid Preparatory is making Dallas ISD history and held its first ever “signing day” to celebrate the founding eighth-grade class. This is the start of the school’s end-of-year celebrations and 20 Hybrid Prep students made their commitment to attend district high schools for the next year. Over 90% of the eighth graders will be attending Choice or P-TECH schools.

“At Dallas Hybrid, we knew this transitional year was pivotal for student retention after being exposed to such a unique learning model,” said Karily Dean Cruz, Hybrid Preparatory Academy’s assistant principal. “With this goal in mind, we were able to retain 100% of our students in Dallas ISD schools and we were able to support their transition into many of the specialized schools, such as P-TECH, magnet programs and choice schools.  As our first-ever eighth-grade class, building inspiring traditions helps our families feel supported and appreciated through their journey at Hybrid Prep.”
