Sophomores from five P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) programs will be awarded “letters of intent” as they continue their journey to becoming future Dallas ISD teachers. The ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at W. H. Adamson High School, with students from the following schools participating:

  • Bryan Adams High School Leadership Academy
  • Lincoln High School and Humanities/Communications Magnet
  • W.T. White High School
  • Sunset High School
  • W.W. Samuell High School

A major step forward for every Education Pathway student, a letter of intent guarantees a teaching job with at least a $60,000 salary in Dallas ISD after students have earned  their bachelor’s degree and teaching certification.

Through P-TECH and ECHS programs, students can choose from a wide variety of career pathways, take college courses and earn up to 60 college credit hours, tuition-free, while in high school. All incoming freshmen can apply to enroll in P-TECH/ECHS programs, which provide an opportunity for students to earn an associate degree along with their high school diploma.
