Weather Updates – Week of Jan. 29

Inclement weather decisions are always tough and are made with deep consideration and care. After further evaluation, the district will remain closed on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023. Central office team members will continue working remotely and sign in using the web clock. However, essential teams will receive further instruction from their supervisors.

Possible make-up day options will be shared at a later time. Weekend activities and events scheduled will go on as planned.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday at the normal time.

UPDATED: THURSDAY, FEB. 2, 4: 18 P.M.

All Dallas ISD schools will be delayed by two hours on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023. Buses will run two hours later than their normal schedule, and all campus and central teams should report two hours later than their regularly scheduled start time. Normal activities, programs, and weekend events will also resume. 

The district is considering possible make-up day options, and you will hear more in the coming weeks.

Please know all of our buildings are safe, warm, and ready to receive students. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

UPDATED: THURSDAY, FEB. 2, 11: 22 A.M.
Dallas ISD is currently assessing all facilities to make sure we are ready to receive students on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023. The decision will be shared by 4 p.m. today, which could include a delayed start.

UPDATED: WEDNESDAY, FEB. 1, 11: 57 A.M.
All Dallas ISD schools will remain closed Thursday, Feb. 2.

More information will be provided later if campuses will make up this instructional day.
Central office team members will still work remotely and sign in using the web clock. Supervisors will contact essential team members for further instructions.

All Dallas ISD schools will remain closed Wednesday, Feb. 1 due to icy conditions. More information will be provided later if campuses will make up this instructional day. 

Central office team members will still work remotely and sign in using the web clock.

Due to anticipated inclement weather, all Dallas ISD schools will be 
closed Tuesday, Jan. 31. More information will be provided later on if campuses would make up this instructional day.

Central office team members are expected to work remotely and must sign in using the web clock tomorrow.

Please continue to check the district’s website, social media channels, or local media on possible closure information later this week.

Due to inclement weather, there will be no after-school activities including athletic events and practices today, Jan. 30. As temperatures are expected to remain above freezing, we will complete the day as normal. Buses will run at the regular time, however, may experience delays as drivers exercise extreme caution this afternoon. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

All Dallas ISD schools and offices will be open Monday, Jan. 30. The district will continue to monitor weather conditions this week.

We encourage families to send students to school with warm clothing and coats, as temperatures are expected to remain near or below freezing. Please continue to check the district website at dallasisd.org and social media channels daily for the official word on school openings or closings.
