The South Oak Cliff Golden Bears ended 2022 on a high note. For the second consecutive year, the Golden Bears are the UIL 5A, Division II Football State Champions. To celebrate, the community is invited to attend a celebratory parade to congratulate the team and the coaching staff for their accomplishment.

The UIL Championship parade will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7. The route will begin at 10:30 a.m. at For Oak Cliff, 907 E. Ledbetter Drive, in Dallas, and end at noon with a celebration at South Oak Cliff High School.
This achievement for SOC’s football team marks Dallas ISD history as the Golden Bears are the first to win consecutive championships.

“Most people want to make it to college and the NFL. Not me. I have always wanted to win a state championship in Texas,” South Oak Cliff football Head Coach Jason Todd said.
Parade attendees will enjoy performances by bands and dance teams and a host of other surprises.
