Bus drivers and monitors on average would receive a 10 percent pay increase next school year under the district’s proposed 2022-2023 budget.

Returning transportation employees will also receive an additional $2,500 retention bonus next school year in addition the the pay level increase.

If the proposed 2022-2023 budget is approved, the starting pay would be:

  • Minimum of $25 per hour for a driver with a current commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • Minimum of $17.49 per hour for an MPV driver
  • Minimum of $15 per hour for a bus monitor

Transportation Services is hosting a job fair on Saturday, May 14, at 5151 Samuell Blvd. to help identify candidates interested in joining the team. The job fair is from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Visit www.dallasisd.org/transportation to learn more.
