Dallas Education Foundation receives award for Heart of Teaching Campaign

The Texas Education Foundation Network (TEFN) recently presented the Dallas Education Foundation with its Outstanding Achievement Award for the foundation’s 2021 Heart of Teaching Campaign.

TEFN is a program of the Texas Pioneer Foundation. Launched in 2012, TEFN supports local education foundations in Texas by providing networking opportunities, sharing of best practices, and training and resources needed for education foundations to be successful.

“We are excited to recognize the Dallas Education Foundation and their Heart of Teaching Campaign which represents the type of excellence and innovation that makes a positive, impactful difference for their district, the students, and their community,” said Michelle Coburn, Program Director for Texas Pioneer Foundation.

The Dallas Education Foundation’s Heart of Teaching campaign was a tribute to the 10,000+ teachers of Dallas ISD and highlighted the talents of the districts 300+ visual art educators, many of whom are working, professional artists.

TEFN recognizes excellence and exceptional performance of Texas school foundations that are impactful, innovative, outcome driven, and make a difference for their schools and districts. TEFN presents Outstanding Achievement Awards annually during the TEFN Conference held in April each year.

The Dallas Education Foundation will receive a $2,500 grant from the Texas Pioneer Foundation and was recognized on April 5, 2022, during the TEFN Annual Conference in San Marcos.
