Six Dallas ISD teams are headed to the Destination Imagination Global Finals

Dallas ISD students will be among the thousands of top-tiered Destination Imagination teams from around the globe welcomed to Kansas City, Mo., to compete in a global contest of innovation and creativity May 21-24. Hosted at the Kansas City Convention Center, the weeklong celebratory event is the ultimate culminating tournament for Destination Imagination’s Challenge Experience.

Six Dallas ISD teams earned a spot to compete in the Global Finals in May, finishing in the top of their challenge solution at the state competition held at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Dallas ISD schools headed to the Global Finals are:

  • School for the Talented & Gifted at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center
  • High School Hybrid Team of Science & Engineering Magnet | Woodrow Wilson | Booker T. Washington HSPVA
  • Casa View Elementary School
  • Lakewood Elementary School
  • Henry B. Gonzalez Personalized Learning Academy

Throughout the U.S. and beyond, Destination Imagination promotes creativity and teamwork to hundreds of thousands of students of all ages. The Destination Imagination programs ask students to solve open-ended challenges in one of six areas and present their imaginative solutions at tournament-style competitions.
