The Dallas ISD Board of Trustees today selected JG Consulting and Walsh Gallegos as the firms to help the district in the community outreach and search process for the next superintendent of schools.
Superintendent Michael Hinojosa in January announced that he would close out his 13-year tenure as superintendent of the nation’s 16th largest school district.
In their submitted materials, JG Consulting states it has successfully managed more than 150 executive-level searches nationwide during the past seven years, and Walsh Gallegos states it has 38 years dedicated solely to the representation of public schools in Texas and New Mexico.
While JG Consulting and Walsh Gallegos will conduct a nationwide search to identify and recommend a superintendent candidate or candidates, the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees is ultimately in charge of hiring the superintendent.
