Mayor Eric Johnson announced that the 25th annual Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair will take place Aug. 6, 2021.

Similar to last year’s event, this year’s Back to School Fair will be much more condensed than in the past and there will be two options to pick up school supplies.

Drive-Thru Only Fair

Friday, August 6, 2021 | 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Upon arrival at the drive-thru fair, families must remain in their vehicles and volunteers will load the school supplies in the trunk or bed of the vehicle.

The drive-thru fair is strictly for vehicles only. Pedestrians or walk-ups will not be accommodated at the drive-thru fair.

Walk-Up Only Fair

Friday, August 6, 2021 | 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

All guests are required to pre-register by Friday, July 30, 2021.

ABOUT THE MAYOR’S BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR

For 25 years, the Mayor’s Back to School Fair has helped set up the children of Dallas for success. The Fair, hosted by Mayor Eric Johnson, is a collaborative partnership between the City of Dallas, Dallas ISD, nonprofits, corporations, and community volunteers and serves economically disadvantaged students and their families who live in the City of Dallas and/or attend a Dallas ISD school in grades Pre-K to 12.

Pending school supply availability, families must pre-register by Friday, July 30, 2021, to receive free school supplies. Supplies are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

More information is available online at mayorsbacktoschoolfair.com.

To qualify for free school supplies, students must live in the City of Dallas or attend a Dallas ISD school. For Dallas ISD students, families must provide proof that the student attends a Dallas ISD school by providing student ID number. For students attending other schools who live in the City of Dallas, families must provide a valid photo ID, City of Dallas proof of residency and verify income is equal to or less than the 2021 Federal Poverty Guidelines.
